Bikepacking Overnighter and Build Up Series

Join All Bodies on Bikes for their fall overnighter and clinic series.

With support from Fat Tire Cycles and Albuquerque Single Speed this series will get you set up for all things bikepacking!

There will be three clinics to prepare your bike and gear for a bikepacking excursion, the first two held at Fat Tire Cycles in Corrales, and the third will be a shake out ride to test gear.

Clinic 1 is a Loaded Bike Q&A: We’ll bring some examples of various ways to load your gear and open up the room for any questions you might have.

Clinic 2 is a bag and gear swap and set-up how to: Bring all your gear and see what works, what you might need to swap or get help setting up and loading up your bags.

In Clinic 3 we’ll meet up fully loaded for a short shake out ride to see that everything works out on the bike. In addition to the clinics, join us for a series of build-up rides to prepare for the bikepacking route. This introduction to bikepacking overnighter will require the cyclist to be able to ride 30 miles over mixed terrain and the build-up series can help get you there! We will be camping at Caja del Rio, west of Santa Fe.

Plan to take the Rio Metro Rail Runner with the group or meet at the Santa Fe Railyards on Oct 19th and return the same way on Oct 20th. Minimum recommended tire width is 40 mm.

Gear list, ride route and details, and travel plans to come!

Keep a look out on our instagram (@abob_abq) for more detailed information for each clinic and training ride including meet up times and routes.
